SESU News of the Week 13.02 – 20.02.2026

1. Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko awarded rescuers with state and departmental honours.

2. In the Zaporizhzhia Oblast, one person was killed and seven were injured as a result of Russian shelling.

3. Andrii Danyk met with European Commissioner Hadja Lahbib at the site of a mobile Point of Invincibility operated by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

4. The Deputy Head of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine held a meeting with the Secretary General of the Council of Europe.

5. Sweden strengthens support for Ukrainian rescuers: outcomes of the visit of the Myndigheten för samhällsskydd och beredskap (MSB) delegation to Ukraine.

6. In the Donetsk Oblast, rescuers from the evacuation group “Phoenix” helped evacuate a boy who had been left without parents.

7. Spaces for children, teenagers and their families have opened in the mobile Points of Invincibility run by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in partnership with UNICEF.
