SESU News of the Week 20.02 – 27.02.2026

1. Volodymyr Zelenskyy awarded state honours to rescuers.

2. The Head of the State Emergency Service and the Minister of Energy showed international partners the consequences of Russia’s energy terror.

3. In the Sumy region, a Russian FPV drone struck a vehicle belonging to a State Emergency Service employee. In the Ternopil region, two rescuers lost their lives in a road traffic accident.

4. Russians attacked Kharkiv Oblast with strike drones and missiles: 14 people were injured, including one child.

5. As a result of airstrikes in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, four people were killed and a child was injured.

6. For the second year in a row, female deminers of the State Emergency Service have become the heroines of the photo exhibition “Women in Demining” by The HALO Trust Ukraine.
